Program Overview:
The Pediatric Pulmonology Training Program at Medipol Mega University Hospital offers a two-week observership and clinical experience for physicians interested in developing a deeper understanding of respiratory disorders in children.

Participants will observe outpatient consultations, inpatient management, advanced diagnostic procedures, and treatment methods for both acute and chronic pulmonary conditions.

This program provides exposure to essential pediatric pulmonology practices, from diagnostic imaging to interventional procedures and long-term respiratory support strategies.

Training Content

Clinical and Procedural Exposure:

• Management of Acute and Chronic Respiratory Conditions (with emphasis on Asthma and Tuberculosis)
• Pulmonary Function Testing (Conventional Tests)
• Interpretation of Pediatric Chest X-rays and CT Scans
• Flexible Bronchoscopy Procedures
• Application of Non-Invasive Ventilation (BIPAP, HHFNC)
• Management of Home Ventilation Systems

Clinical Rounds:

• Outpatient (Polyclinic) Patient Examinations and Treatment Observations
• Inpatient Visits and Case Management Discussions

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to:

• Recognize and manage a wide range of pediatric respiratory disorders.
• Perform and interpret basic pulmonary diagnostic tests.
• Understand interventional pulmonology techniques and long-term ventilatory care strategies in children.
